John wrote his Gospel with a stated purpose: that readers would believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and have life in His name. He opens by identifying the Word as God and closes with a disciple falling before the risen Christ and calling Him my Lord and my God — and Jesus accepts it.
Between those two points, John records claim after claim that Jesus' own hearers understood as claims to deity. We know they understood them that way because they repeatedly picked up stones. This post works through ten passages in order.
